(01) A desktop application.

Product
One workspace, a clear trail.
SAAR is a desktop application for people who work with financial documents and need to know where every number came from. Here is what it does, step by step.
Documents and evidence
Digital PDFs, statement CSVs and image-based documents go through a local OCR worker. Extracted fields keep their page and position, so a value is never separated from the place it was read.
- Content-hash de-duplication on import
- File type checked by magic bytes, not by name
- Field-level provenance shown beside the source
Reconciliation you review
Deterministic rules propose links between invoices and bank transactions. Nothing is applied silently: you approve, reject or correct each proposal, and every action lands in an audit trail.
- Reference and exact amountAn invoice number found as a whole token in the payment reference, with the exact amount.
- Exact matchAmount and currency, with the reference or vendor present in the description.
- Exact amount, nearby dateThe same amount within a window of days, even when the text differs.
- Mismatch explainedThe vendor matches but the amount differs, with the difference explained as a fee or discount.

From the running app, on synthetic data: 13 proposed links, 30 anomalies flagged.
Questions, with receipts
Ask in plain language. SAAR classifies the question, calculates the answer from stored records, and cites the transactions it used. Where it cannot compute a figure, it says so instead of guessing.
- Currencies are never mixed without a recorded rate
- Verified figures are labelled separately from model prose
- Prompt-injection attempts are quarantined, not answered
Reports that trace back
Monthly income, expenses and net cash flow, calculated with exact integer arithmetic and kept separate per currency. Export CSV or PDF reports whose lines point at their source records.
Protection and recovery
Each workspace is its own encrypted database. A backup is an authenticated archive that restores into a fresh profile, and it refuses a wrong passphrase or any tampered byte.
- SQLCipher per workspace, Argon2id key derivation
- Encrypted document blobs, atomic writes
